The “daily driver” of Kyoto sweets, Mutsumi Mochi are carefully made by Japanese confectionery artisans from Kyoto using traditional methods to create an authentic Japanese taste that can be enjoyed casually.

fushimi sasa manju

Sake manju buns made according to the founder’s secret recipe which fully preserves the delicate sake aroma, Fushimi Sasa Manju have been one of our mainline products since our establishment. Made with smooth sweet anko bean paste wrapped in a dough kneaded with sake lees that is steamed into plump, fluffy little buns. Each generation has made its own slight modifications to the family recipe, which is never revealed to outsiders, and Fushimi Sasa Manju are one of our best-selling, longest-loved products.

wasanbonto

These “uchigashi” (molded dry confections) are made with fine-grained wasanbon sugar from Shikoku. They are created in a variety of elegant shapes using approximately 300 different wooden molds for different seasons and the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac. We can produce a variety of flavors and color combinations, making our Wasanbonto ideal for souvenirs as well as seasonally-themed tea ceremonies.

Note: We also offer small-lot runs and original image designs using a food printer.

These sweets are a new approach to the concept of the macaron suited to Japanese palates and tastes, created by Japanese confectionary artisans from Kyoto making full use of their experience, skill, and intuition. Kyo-macaron sare the result of extensive research, including careful selection of ingredients, blending, and baking methods. Available in a variety of flavors such as matcha (powdered green tea) and hojicha (roasted green tea).
